Use a graphing calculator programmed by Swedish programmer J. Lillge:
Instructions
Hold down the left mouse button on point a or b, and move it around.
The point f represents the sum a+b.
The three points represent either complex numbers or vectors.
If you keep both a and b on the horizontal x axis, you'll see that a+b works
just like it does for real numbers on the number line.
That's true for most of the calculator's functions.
Click the box labeled Function to select another built-in function.
In the box at the bottom left, type 2x+1, then hit the Enter key.
In the box at the bottom right, type sin x, then hit the Enter key.
Hold down the right mouse button anywhere on the graph and move it around.
Click the box labeled Function and scroll it down to select some more examples
of user defined functions.

Below is an animated proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. Starting with a right triangle and
squares on each side, the middle size square is cut into congruent quadrilaterals
(the cuts through the center and parallel to the sides of the biggest square).
Then the quadrilaterals are hinged and rotated and shifted to the big square.
Finally the smallest square is translated to cover the remaining middle part
of the biggest square. A perfect fit! Thus the sum of the squares on the
smaller two sides equals the square on the biggest side.
Afterward, the small square is translated back and the four quadrilaterals are directly
translated back to their original position. The process is repeated forever. This animated
gif was supplied by Professor Mark Meyerson of the United States Naval Academy.
